Jean and Tap Johnson Theatre and Dance Scholarship

The Jean and Tap Johnson Theatre and Dance Scholarship is for students pursuing a major in Theatre or Dance. Applicants must audition through the formal audition process in January or February. Available to incoming students who demonstrate success and have a GPA of 3.0+.

Though they are not alums, Jean and Tap Johnson are Cougars through and through. Both have served in numerous leadership roles on campus including the Foundation Board of Directors, Cougar Club Board of Directors, School of Business Board of Governors and School of the Arts Advisory Council. Their enthusiasm for the College of Charleston, its students and student athletes is inspiring, and this gift demonstrates their commitment to helping the Department of Theatre and Dance recruit the most talented students.
