Mary A. Skipper Endowed Scholarship Fund

Mary A. Skipper Endowed Scholarship Fund was created in memory of Mary Anne “Peggy” Skipper by her family to recognize her life long determination for learning and self-improvement. Peggy was a non-traditional student who was married for 60 years, raised three children, had a full career as an administrative assistant, and performed many thousands of volunteer hours. She graduated from the College of Charleston at the age of 65.

Scholarship will be awarded to a student who meets the following criteria:
1. Be married females, of at least 30 years of age, with one or more children
2. Have declared a major
3. Be enrolled in a minimum of six semester hours toward completing degree requirements
4. Maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or better
5. Have contributed time for significant volunteer work in the community.
