Henry Foundation Endowed Scholarship in Engineering

This fund is being established by the Henry Foundation at the request of Alex and Jackie Henry and their son Jack Henry 2027. Alex is a director of the Henry Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization focused on providing support to projects addressing climate change, sea level rise, and other oceanic challenges. Jackie has worked with a number of philanthropic organizations in the DC area, including the Washington Ballet’s Women’s Committee, the Junior League of Northern Virginia, Washington Hospital Research, Meals on Wheels, Great Falls Lacrosse and Field Hockey League, and more. Ms. Henry has also served on the George Washington Medical Faculty Advisor Board.

Requirements for this scholarship:
-Students must be enrolled full-time at the College
-Students must have declared or intend to declare an Engineering major

Preference:
-Preference will be given to students demonstrating financial need according to the Office of Financial Assistance and Veterans Affairs.

Renewability:
This scholarship may be renewed annually to recipients who meet the following criteria:
-Recipients must continue to meet qualification requirements listed above
-Recipients must maintain a CofC GPA of 3.0 or higher
-Recipients must be making expected progress toward completion of a degree in engineering
