Schweers Ray Endowed SAA Scholarship

This gift provides scholarships for students actively participating in the Student Alumni Associates (SAA) at CofC, who demonstrate leadership and are involved in extracurricular activities (Recipient must be engaged in two campus organizations.)
Scholarships are renewable as long as the recipient maintains full-time status at the College, progresses with their class, and is an active participant of the SAA.

An alumna of the Class of 1985, Eileen Schweers Ray and her husband, Roger A. Ray, established this scholarship for an active member of the Student Alumni Associates.The scholarship is in memory of Eileen’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Noel Schweers, Jr. of Augusta, GA. With their support and encouragement, all four of their children, Ann Marie (’84), Eileen (’85), Noel (’87) and Sheila (’93) were active in campus life at the College of Charleston. Eileen was the founding president of SAA in 1984.
