Laura, former Director of the Office of Substance Abuse Prevention at the College was an avid believer in the concept of healthy lifestyles, a philosophy that she integrated into both her work and personal life. The last seven years of her life were dedicated to the same principles of healthy lifestyles, prevention of substance abuse, and pedestrian safety. Laura passed away in 1996 as a result of a hit-and-run accident on the Battery. This scholarship celebrates Laura’s commitment to healthy living and her love of the College.
