Laurence O. Williams Endowed/Annual Scholarship in Chemistry

Scholarship will be awarded to Junior or Senior students who are declared Chemistry majors and have a minimum 3.5 GPA within their major.

The fund was created in memory of Laurence O. Williams, a graduate of Purdue University and Chief Scientist for Lockheed Martin where he was an analytical propulsion chemist. He acquired 13 patents and published several books on the use of hydrogen power as an alternate fuel. Copies of his work are housed in the College of Charleston Addlestone Library.
