Maria De La Guardia Humanities Scholarship

Hilda Maria De La Guardia began her educational pursuits at the College of Charleston in September of 1981 as a Political Science Major. She graduated in 1985. A short time later Maria entered graduate school at George Washington University earning her MBA. Maria advanced through her career and successfully sold her business in 2017. She has continually been an ardent supporter of the College of Charleston through philanthropy. As an out of state student during her tenure at the College, Maria values the education she received and would like to ensure that other out of state students share the opportunity to explore academic excellence at the College of Charleston. Her dedication to students have access to resources for success is of the utmost importance.
