Lucy Garrett Beckham Memorial Endowed/Annual Scholarship

The fund provides scholarships to students who have graduated from Wando High School intending to pursue a degree in teaching and have a demonstrated passion for teaching. Non-renewable.
Essay requirement – 100-250 words on each of the topics set forth:
1. Why do you want to teach?
2. What are the most important qualities of an effective teacher, and how would you exemplify these qualities?
3. Describe/explain an opportunity you have had to teach others.
